NaviTEK NT Improves Network Troubleshooting Even More

The IDEAL Networks NaviTEK NT Plus and Pro network troubleshooters are set to make troubleshooting copper and fibre networks easier than ever before following a free software update. The update introduces some useful features that boost the user experience and simplify network testing. Here’s how:

New progress indicator for network testing

A progress indicator has been added during port decoding of optical links. This live progress report on the network troubleshooter helps reassure you that the tester is still working to gather data, improving compatibility with optical switches that transmit CDP/LLDP link information less frequently than copper switches.

More detailed network test reports when troubleshooting

With our new upgrade, it is now far easier to manage large amounts of test data, especially for those working in data centres. More detailed information is included on the CSV (Excel compatible) test report for more effective network mapping.

The updated report provides system (switch) description, link rate (port speed), Duplex status and VLAN ID in addition to other useful system and port data. You can now view one single document that lists all of the essential test data for every network port that you’ve tested and can sort and scroll through this data simply.

Hassle-free network troubleshooter

NaviTEK NT is the perfect choice for troubleshooting and maintaining active and passive copper and fibre networks, with a range of features that make pinpointing and solving network connectivity issues faster than ever before. Now, with significantly enhanced software, and general bug fixes, the network transmission testing experience is more hassle-free than ever. Click here to upgrade your device today.
