Certifier reports as simple as 1 2 3 with IDC

We have relased an update to our IDEAL DataCENTER (IDC) software which allows users of LanTEK® II and FiberTEK® FDX cable certifiers to easily manage test data and generate certification reports in 3 simple steps.

IDC improves on the sometimes-cumbersome task of importing and organizing test data using an improved workflow and simplified user interface. The familiar ribbon toolbars, similar to Microsoft® Office products, organise functions into logical groups, streamlining the process of generating certification reports. The professional reports are generated in 3 simple steps; enter the job details, select the logo and then select the tests.

With allowance for more than 10,000 tests per job, IDC supports projects of any size. Creating PDF reports is a simple two-click process and a complete project is contained in one file, further simplifying submittal of projects to clients and cabling manufacturers. IDC works with most third-party cloud data services like Dropbox and Google Drive.

IDC is available free of charge. Click here for more details.

Cabling systems are the bridges that transport information between various points in a network – from source to receiver.  Ensuring that this network is functioning at its optimum levels means confirming that the cables are performing well.

To do that, a solid understanding of what to look for when measuring cabling performance is essential.

Beyond finding faults in components or installation workmanship, the other important element is to determine the true performance of an installed data cabling system. Because performance of LAN cabling is not a function of safety, most governmental jurisdictions do not require 3rd party testing to ensure that products provide the level of performance shown on the packaging or marketing literature.
