6 reasons to test Wi-Fi and networks with the updated LanXPLORER™ Pro

IDEAL Networks In-Line Network Troubleshooter LanXPLORER Pro has recently received updates to software and accessories to enable it to help System Integrators and IT Technicians even more effectively.

Here’s 6 reasons why you should test Wi-Fi and troubleshoot networks with the upgraded LanXPLORER Pro.

1. Test 5GHz Wi-Fi (and test 2.4GHz Wi-Fi too!)

To beat congestion and maintain high performance, more businesses are switching to 5GHz Wi-Fi, so the LanXPLORER Pro In-Line Network Troubleshooter from IDEAL Networks has been upgraded to support both 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies.

To meet 5GHz Wi-Fi testing demand, we have introduced a new Dual Band USB Wi-Fi Adapter which, along with the latest free software update, allows you to test both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi with the LanXPLORER Pro. To ensure quality for clients, the upgraded network troubleshooter tests Wi-Fi in accordance with the 802.11a/b/g/n/ac international test standard.

2. Improved Wi-Fi testing capabilities

The latest software updates enable the tester to display new RF parameters, such as Signal Strength (dBm) and Signal to Noise ratio (SNR), helping to improve Wi-Fi testing capabilities and accuracy, as well as saving time for System Integrators and IT Technicians.

3. A multifunction tester for network diagnosis

The LanXPLORER Pro is multifunctional. As well as testing Wi-Fi, it offers a wide range of network diagnosis capabilities, from testing the copper and fibre cable that serves the wireless access points, to troubleshooting problems in Ethernet devices that could be contributing to a reduced network performance. When it comes to network testing and Wi-Fi testing, you can do more than ever with just one IDEAL Networks tester.

4. Updated wiremap templates for testing cable

The latest free software includes an extended list of wiremap templates for common Ethernet cable types including Cat6A/7A/8 and non-Ethernet cable, such as Profinet, ISDN and Deutsche Bahn (German Rail system). For maximum versatility and accuracy when testing proprietary cabling systems, custom wiremap templates, defined by the user, are also available.

5. Simple and accurate network testing

The combination of the updated software and the upgraded Wi-Fi testing antenna provide a better user experience. Whether you’re testing and troubleshooting Wi-Fi or network cable installations, you can get this done as simply and efficiently as possible.

6. The IDEAL AnyWARE™ app saves time

Free to download, the IDEAL AnyWARE app enables LanXPLORER Pro users to quickly and easily share data with clients. The pass/fail result, for example, as well as detailed PDF and CSV reports can easily be sent or shared via the app with clients and colleagues anywhere. This saves valuable time while improving collaboration, enhancing productivity and reducing downtime.
